Peter S. Dealy, President
Mr. Dealy has led the investment, management, and advisory practice at West End Partners since its inception in 1992. Mr. Dealy spent more than 35 years in corporate advisory, senior management, investment underwriting, and transactional mergers and acquisitions roles for West End-owned and client companies. Mr. Dealy has developed digital marketing and operations initiatives coupled with transactional and advisory solutions in his direction of West End portfolio companies and for constituent public and privately held middle market and emerging business clients. West End portfolio investments directed by Mr. Dealy have included digital projection businesses, internet voice, data, and video transmission technology operations, and consumer travel and sports businesses. Prior to forming West End Partners in 1992, Mr. Dealy was a founding partner of Sigoloff and Associates, Inc., an international crisis management firm led by Sandy Sigoloff, one of the preeminent corporate turnaround specialists. Engaged by boards of directors, lending institutions, and operating management, Mr. Dealy managed large capitalization turnarounds and reorganizations in a variety of industries during the recession of 1989-1992. He began his restructuring career in 1983 as a member of the turnaround team that successfully completed the largest corporate Chapter 11 reorganization to that date, Wickes Companies, Inc., a conglomerate holding more than thirty companies in diverse product and services markets ranging from retail operations, apparel, home furnishings, automobile products, building materials, insurance and financial services. Mr. Dealy has advised private equity groups, boards of directors, and lenders, and has directed the hands on crisis management of venture funded companies to multi-billion dollar multinationals, both within Chapter 11 reorganization proceedings and in out of court restructurings. Mr. Dealy holds a B.A. degree from Fordham University and a J.D. degree from New York University School of Law.
Jonathon Mandel, Senior Advisor
Mr. Mandel is based in Hong Kong and is a former Managing Director and Head of the Financial Sponsors Group within Morgan Stanley’s Asia-Pacific Investment Banking Group. At Morgan Stanley, he had overall responsibility for the firm’s relationships with private equity and hedge fund special situation group clients across Asia and was part of the firm’s sovereign wealth fund coverage effort. He led and oversaw significant merger & acquisition, equity and debt financing and derivative transactions for clients including KKR, Providence Equity, Bain Capital, Affinity Partners, The Carlyle Group, and Terra Firma. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Jonathan held senior roles in Europe for Goldman Sachs in the Communication, Media, and Technology Group and for McKinsey & Company in the Corporate Finance & Strategy practice. In addition to his M&A and financing background, Jonathan’s experience includes the restructuring of a major European airline, including the carving out of its non-core flight operations and the negotiation of new equity capital entry, debt renegotiation for creditors of one of the world’s largest satellite companies, capital structure and management restructuring at a UK wireless technology company, and advising one of Germany’s largest banks on the restructuring of its asset-backed securities portfolio . Over the course of his professional career, he has completed complex transactions for corporate and sponsor clients across Asia, Europe, and North America in a wide variety of sectors including media, telecommunications, basic materials, financial services, industrials, retail, and technology. Mr. Mandel holds degrees from the University of Pennsylvania (BA 1991), Johns Hopkins University (SAIS) (MA 1993) and INSEAD (MBA 1996).
